Just the core of mine measures 29''x 25'' square
Hypermax tapercore- core is 30" wide at the top, 22" wide at the bottom and 22" high
Stock 7.3 IC core dimensions-30'' x 18''
So front surface area sq inches:
Mine-725
Tapercore-572
Stock-540
However I think that the tapercore may be 2.5'' deep instead of 2'' like mine or stock. I'm not really sure, I couldn't find a spec.
For me it was the way to go, I got it for free, other than my time to install. It can't even fit in the stock location like the tapercore does.
Pic of it in the truck
This is where I bolted it with the factory holes in the IC through the header panel in the slots that the grill snaps go in. You can also see where I notched some out of the header panel as well.
In stock form, the condenser is mounted in front of the IC, I just reversed it. IMO thats the way its supposed to be. My AC still gets damn cold and the IC is in the coolest air where it needs to be. I also had to weld extensions on my IC pipes, I believe it was 9 7/8'' that I added. I had some 3'' stainless laying around that I used.
