I need to replace a busted passenger mirror on my 06 f150 crew cab. I've been calling around and getting prices on a power only mirror like i have for about as much as i can buy a power/power fold/blinker mirror. I know this upgraded style mirror will fit on my truck i would just have to buy both sides but how hard is it to upgrade the electrical? Would the wiring happen to be there but since i don't have those options the wiring is just unused? Any help would be great.

 

I believe the wiring should be there if you have the power mirrors but don't quote me on that. It's pretty easy to take the door panel off. If you search, there will be other info on that. Check out Rock Auto too, they usually have decent prices.

 

I have the power mirrors on my 04 so I don't know if the wiring would be there on yours but they are realatively easy to cange. The door panel has about 4 different size bolts to remove, speaker also has to come out along with the little plastic gadgets on the bottom of the speaker and lift the panel straight up. There are bolts under the windows swich panel, and behinde the door handle, and at the bottom of the door. check ebay and you can get some nice upgraded 2010 & up style mirrors for just over 200 for both of them.
