Well it's time for a Dp. I have an edge right now and I'm just woundering if it's okay to keep the edge hooked up in stock mode and just use it for the guages and code reader while running the DP? Thanks in advance.
I have an edge (Stacked Edges as a matter of fact). From what I understand, the Edge "stock" tune, is only what edge qualifies as stock, not the actual stock. But I could be wrong there.
I thought about doing that as well, but in the end I decided to save up the money for real gauges and a DP. There are just to many ifs with using both chips.
The big one is: What if the edge fails? (which is likely, mine made it a year before needing to be sent in and get fixed.) You'll be without gauges until you can get it fixed. I won't even pretend to understand how all the computer stuff works, but I feel like the two chips would fight each other and cause problems down the road.
I really like having all the digital gauges like that, but it just doesn't sit right with me to run both of them. You know what I mean?
