Alright so i want some sort of gauges in my truck. If i am going to spend the money on gauges i figured why not get some power out of it too by buying the Edge Evolution which has the digital read out and the power upgrades. If i had more money to spend, i would go with the DP Tuner and the guages but i am not really looking to spend that much. My only question is, is the product in the link: Edge 15001 Evolution II Programmer for Ford Powerstroke at DieselManor, all i need, or is this just the monitor. Do i need this and something else or is this the chip and monitor all in one? Sorry if this is confusing, it's kind of hard to put into words. Or am i better off just going with a nice set of gauges?
electronic gauges are ok, but the best gauges are mechanical gauges, with the full sweep cause they are the most acurate.
get a nice set of gauges if you planning on keeping the truck. this will be your starting point and you baseline. than you can throw the tuner at it, and see how your truck is doing, you know when to let off and when to check for problems just by watching your gauges...
and save yourself aproblems, and dont buy edge , get DP and you never go back...
I also agree,i had edge, then quadzilla and non of them come close to my dp and the reading from the gauges are not accurate. My boost only read 21-22lbs because it gets the reading after the map,now i can hit 27lbs.
Several members have tried the digital gauges they work but they are not nearly as reliable as Analog I would say go with Dipricols MCN diesel has them for 360.
Pretty close, add one more trans guage for the pan, Dp tuner, and the LED for the autostart right next to the pyro guage. Also, you have your gauges in the same order as I. Almost forgot, my windsheild has water dropplets on it too.
Alright so i really like those gauges that Kupaa has so those are what i think i am going to go with except i will probably mount them under the dash. Now i go with the DP Tuner, should i go with the F6? And if yes, how does it work, i buy the actual unit then have to buy the tunes seperate? So about how much does this cost. I guess it depends on what i get... I tow a 20 foot boat and motorcycles around in my trailer. What tow tune would be better for me? I definitely want a some fun tunes because i do like to have a little fun with the truck once in a while. Which tune would be best for that?
the pilars wont fit my 2005 truck , the handle on passenger side is in a diferent location, so i have to get new pilars , while doing it im planning on few other mods too.
anyways if you interested in those pm me.
