Have you checked UVCH? I am not sure why no one has mentioned this. There is a good chance you are looking at all of the wrong stuff. Pull your valve covers, check connections and pins, and check each injector while the truck idles. What you are looking for is to see if each injector is firing and you can see this by looking at the oil spouts to see if oil is spurting out. If no oil, no fire. It's a n easy test to do and usually ends up being the culprit for rough idle and running issues.
I been looking for someone with scanner other than dealer that will read the truck, can't afford one myself. will check uvch tomorrow, what is a port best to check hpop pressure and what should it read, I appreciate the help you all give it is hard to find people that understand the obs
I highly, highly doubt your HPOP is the issue here. They rarely, if ever, go bad. Dude, pull each pigtail on the valve cover while the truck is idling. If you do not hear and feel a change in tone and rhythm, then it's probably ok. If no change in idle tone, than that would be your first clue. Quit making this harder on yourself than it needs to be. Your chasing down areas that are the last areas most of us would look into because 9 out of 10 times, they are not the issue. The amazing things is, you don't even need a scanner to determine this unless you are setting codes, but even then, you can still troubleshoot.
Also, get out of the dealer mentality. I see that mistake on here over and over again. They simply DO NOT know these trucks. Unless you find some diehard 7.3 guy who still happens to be turning a wrench at a Ford dealership, you'll get charged and screwed for parts that are NOT needed. Here is my case in point. I bought the truck in my signature 2 weeks ago. It was running in 6 cylinders with only 160k miles. The guy took it to Ford, who promptly and ignorantly told him he needed two injectors for cylinders 2 & 3 because they were dead and not firing. I got it, drove it home, popped the valve cover after pulling a pigtail with no change in idle tone. I found the #2 injector totally disconnected from the harness. I plugged it back in and BOOM, #2 is alive! Same goes for the #3 on the other bank, except that was burnt pins and a melted connector. New harness and VCG later, truck is firing on all 8. This dealer would have charged this guy $2000 and not fixed dick!!
Hope this helps. Slow down, quit firing off the hip, and methodically check these things. They are common issues to this engine. HPOPs are not.
