yeeah thinks glovemeister you get me, im not gonna be out there driving reckless its jst tht the inline 6 isnt for me oh and does anyone have an original rear bumper?
Dang kid you really remind me of me when i was your age, i use to tell my pops "why didnt you get a V8?" but over the years i knew i couldnt afford a v8 swap i started doing research and maybe over the years you'll change your mind on swapping for a v8 i know these motors arent built for speed but im sure by seeing some videos from youtube and what not it'll probably change your mind. becuz i know it did for me right now im 19 and this is the year a swap out for a 4bbl carb and headers, with the right knowledge these motor could be built to go fast.
WOW that a bad as six. I was going to do an engine swap in my 81 f150. I was going to drop in a 460 and take out an inline six. I have changed my mine I love torqe. By me reading through these treads and the 300 treads I have decided to keep a 300 six in her. I am not much for speed but I want the power. Now if I just can decide what I want to do to the engine hehe.I read all these threads and find what guys have done to the six and cant decide on what to do to mine. Well I just thought thow out there what was on my mind.
I love hopped up inline sixes. I want to build a street rod some day with a warmed up 300 in it. I too wasn't too excited about having one in my first vehicle at the age of 16. But after watching my buddies in HS blow up V8s left and right, and seeing my little six popper keep on keepin on... I gained a ton of respect for the 300 Ford six.
I am not sure where the OP is from but I do know that you can get a drivers liscense at 14 in South Dakota. http://dps.sd.gov/licensing/driver_l...ual%202008.pdf
Either way he needs to concentrate on just learning to drive well before he gets all gung ho on going fast.

Na, that's an instructional permit. Can't get a real license until 16 even there.
I guess in a state where there are 1 person every 15 miles, they an afford to be just a little slack...
Either way it may not be a full liscense but they can legally drive, and every 15 miles is giving em alot of credit I was gonna say more like 30 miles....
300 Inline six running mid 10's and picks the front tires off the ground.
I'd rather keep the I6 and build it up.
Let's get real, guys. This kid isn't going to do a thing to his truck unless his dad does it for him. Nothing wrong with that, this kid just needs taught.
Teach the boy but don't keep prodding him onto something we all know he can't even do. Or shouldn't do.
Son, I really hope you just chill out and get a job. Save your money. Do tons and tons and tons of research. Ask questions. LEARN!
I'd say that kit about covers it, huh? I've read where the EFI exhaust manifolds are just a hair from being as good as headers. I wonder what the kit would cost without the headers.
