Ok. So in the event that I need to buy new injectors, I am trying to decide between 3 options. My engine has pmr's so I am really only ever going to need 400-450 hp at the very max. From what I read, any of the following will be able to do this:
1. Stage1 ss with 100% nozzles
2. Stage2
3. Stage3/hybrids
I am wanting to base my decision on all factors of reliability, longevity, cost-effectiveness, maintenance, and tuning and turbo requirements. So cast your vote and back it up, and I will tally them in about a week and post the results. Thanks!

If you are looking to stick with 400-450hp max, you might not need as much injector as the Stage 3 will provide you. Maybe so with the stage 2 as well.
Before I chose injectors I picked a HP goal I wanted to reach. My goal was 400+ HP. 401 would have done. I didn't think stage 1s were going to get me there. I also didn't want to go stage 2s wishing I had gone with Hybdrids. So for the extra 200 bucks over the cost of stage 2s I went with Hybrids. The Hybrids use less oil and with the 38R, live tuning and medium oil I got 486 HP on a suspect dyno. So lets say I got somewhere around 430 HP, then my HP goal was reached. I would have hated to have gone with stage 2s and not reached my HP goal. With the hydrids and in 120R I get sustained ICP at WOT of 3480 PSI at 50% duty cycle. In 80E and driving just below 2000 RPMS at about 69 MPH I can still break 20 MPG on the highway. It still has all the manners you would want in a daily driver and plenty of power at the push of a button. My Hybrids are 200CCs with 80% oversized nozzles and of course are single shots. I am honestly done with anymore power adding. At least with the truck anyway.

That pretty much says it all, Hybrids - tunes for them & roll
The stage 2s will require a little more hpop oil than the hybrids but you will have better atomization and spray than hybrids. Hybrids will still get the job done.
If it was me I would go ahead and go with a 38r and 200cc hybrids and have it tuned to keep the torque numbers under control. Not much smoke, great driveability, and great economy.

Robin, doesn't Joe have a similar setup? I really have no reason why to upgrade other than MPG. I barely manage 16 right now, and 20 with more power is a go at this station. My truck should be up to snuff, but I don't know where to get the sticks or the tunning.

There are dozens of different ways to go but this is what worked for me.
I knew what I wanted and asked the right people the right questions and
luckily made the right choices and only had to do it once.

No hi jack intended.
If by Joe you mean Izzy351 he has 100% oversize nozzles and a van turbo.
When my truck was stock it got around 20, so no real gain in MPG but to have so
much more power and still get essentially the same MPG is more then I could ask for.
I can't beleive you don't know where to get sticks or tuning but I got the Full
Force Diesel injectors through Clay. Riffraff Diesel and tuning from DP Tuner

Casper, great question.I have been pushing this around to. I don't think he said who his tuner was. I have 4.10 and can't go 2000rpm at 69mph anyway but if there that good it would help me to. Now torq. and towing I would be interested in also!
I'm gonna stay neutral for a lil while till I get some
More responses. I certainly don't want to rush to a bad or regretted decision. Remember I've been driving a turd for a year now and anything will be better than what I've got! Tunning is another thing, vie got a dp tunner and dint want to have to have it live tuned right away just to be able to drive the truck so I'm also gonna lean towards something Jody has tuned with already. Thanks for the input guys and keep it coming. By the way I do have med oil so that may be a plus!
While I am not having any troubles with my truck (Im sure David, will be happy when he finds that voodoo priestess to get the gris gris off his truck) I do have a bit of the PMS going on and have the same questions and looking for possible injectors as well. Looks like most of you guys with the hybrids have the forged rods. Does anyone have any concerns with the stage 2's or the hybrids with PMRs? I am assuming the tuning would have alot to do with it as well. What would be the concerns driving with existing tunes or maybe even stock while waiting for re-tuning? Would high mileage be a concern when upping the power like this? I guess im one of the lucky ones as Im getting 20.5 mpg with stock sticks, sounds like most are getting about same mileage with hotter sticks. Almost sounds tgtbt.
Robin, sorry I did mess or just plan read this post to quickly. I've said before I was going to Clay for stage1's but now you have me wondering. I was hoping he was going to have an RRW in AZ so I could up date the hole truck at the meet but I see he didn't bit. Thanks, Chet
