Does anyone have any experience using teflon grease on their truck? It's been around awhile for bikes and such but now I see that Ford is starting to recommend it for some auto applications.
For example, I understand Ford now suggests using teflon grease on driveshaft slip yokes to help alleviate certain 'clunking' conditions in some models.
I have been using teflon grease at the yokes of all my Fords since about 1976 when I started having problems with my 74 F-100. One of my runnin' buddies was a trouble shooter at a Lincoln-Mercury dealer and gave me the stuff. I still have one of the original tubes. The yoke is all I use it on. I don't think it would work well in ball joints/tie rods.
