My lighter did not work but was the original to the truck with bezel and black *** with white insert. I bought the replacement lighter housing from Carpenter and was able to attach the original *** and bezel to it although it took a lot of work to disengage it from the original one since it is as number dummy said was swagged on (which I have no idea what that is) but it was really stuck good. Now it works great and looks original.

Thanks Bill.
Hey since we are talking about the cigar lighter thought this was a good fit. Does anyone have the ashtray chrome molding for a standard cab dash 1966 f250. It is a little piece of chrome that goes over the top of the ashtray edge. Thanks

There is no "little piece of chrome" that goes on the ash tray edge on any Standard Cabs, Custom Cabs or Rangers.
Someone fabbed it up, possibly cutting a section from a chrome door edge guard.
The only dash mouldings in this area these trucks had were anodized aluminum and were used with tu-tone paint (to separate the upper dash color from the lower dash color) or used to cover the leading edge of the padded dash.
There is a long moulding (C4TZ-8104332-A) on the passenger side, a short moulding (C4TZ-8104333-A) on the drivers side.
These are the same mouldings I mentioned in post #34. These were used on 1964/66 F100/1100's, 1964/69 N/NT500/1000's and 1967/69 F800/1000's...as all these trucks used the same basic dash.
Not original for 1961/63's (as the ebay seller claims). If found on these earlier trucks, they were retrofitted.
The long right side moulding (uses 6 clips to attach it) fits just above the ashtray and spans the entire right side of the dash...beginning just past the instrument cluster
The short left side moulding (uses 2 clips to attach it) fits above the ignition switch from the cluster towards the end of the left side of the dash..
btw: When you said: "Over the top of the ash tray edge" I thought you meant on the ash tray edge itself, not above it.
Bill, are the two parts and the clips available? The original owner had removed the long piece to the right side for some reason ??? and the one on the left looks like crap. I would like to get a replacement.
Thank you, Fritz

1961/66 F100/1100:
The bezel marked LIGHTER is part of the element (C1TZ15054A), and it was swagged on, so it cannot be removed. I could not find anyone that reproduces it.
The ****, as original, was only sold with the element (C1TZ15052A). Carpenter's part number (C1TZ15052) for the reproduced **** is phony...because it's only the ****.
The correct 1961/66 element is hard to find NOS as Ford replaced it decades ago with first the '67/72, then the '73/79 types, which are different styles and do not say LIGHTER.

The lighter fuse was not integral with the harness...or the socket (though it might appear as such). It was sold by itself.

This fuse is barrel shaped, has one female, one male end. Female end threads onto the lighter sockets male end, then the wire end pushes onto the fuses male end.

Obsolete No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has the mouldings. MANDERBACH FORD in Temple PA (610-929-3683) has ONE moulding clip...and that's it..
I looked in DC's and Carolina Classics truck repro parts catalogs, didn't see any listing for these parts...possibly someone else has them.

* I know that obsolete parts vendor Green Sales Co. has access (there may be others-Dennis Carpenter, for example), cuz they know someone at a dealership that has the link to the site and a valid password to access it.
Thanks Bill. Maybe someone on the board will know where I can get one. I do have many of the options on the truck that I just took for granted. When i hear that many of the 65's out there don't have them, I feel very lucky. BUT, than there are the little things that are missing that have to be scrounged. Do you have a customer list that you keep in case you find what they need??? If so, put me on the list. I may start a list of my needs for you. I think I'll start with a 'long vacation, and $100,000 to play with.' What shelf might that be on. ;o) HAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaa
