I am helping a friend out. She has a 2005 Explorer XLT. Both of her cigarette lighter / power accessory ports are not functional.
I thought it would be an easy fix. I cracked out the manual, looked up the fuses and found fuse 24 (under dash) for the cigar lighter. I replaced the fuse, but no dice
I looked inside both ports, and I don't see anything in there that could be tripping it / grounding it.
Reading over the rest of the manual, I didn't see anything else that would suggest there was another fuse for it, unless I am missing something.
Do you have a way to confirm whether or not the ports actually have power? Maybe the fuse in whatever she is trying to plug in is blown. Those often have a fuse either in the side of the plug or beneath the tip.
If you are able to confirm the plug does not have power, it appears from the wiring diagrams you should be looking at fuses F7 and F9 (both 20A) in the Battery Junction Box. Fuse F24 is just for the front cigar lighter.
