abs

my abs pump stays on after i shut my truck off does is there any reason why it stays on and if thers is how could i fix it.

Are you sure it's the ABS pump and not the air suspension pump?

If the ABS pump stays on by itself, the controller has shorted internally. Full the 4WABS fuse to disable the pump until you can get it fixed at a dealer or repair shop.

You need to properly identify the vehicle you are asking about.

Again...are you sure its the ABS? My first thought would be to check the ABS relay. The relay is what gives power to the ABS pump.

yes its the abs pump i dont have air suspension and its a 2000 expedtion 2wd

There is no ABS relay. The pump/controller is fed by an ALWAYS HOT feed (BJB F102). If the pump continues to run after the switched ignition feed is removed, the control module has failed.
