Oil not showing on the dip stick!
Just bought a 2015 F 350, 6.2 with 5400 miles. I changed oil and filter, put in 7 quarts Mobil 1 5W-20, started the engine and checked for leaks, shut it off and let sit. Pulled the dip stick the oil level was at the "add". Checked it about 5 times still at the add mark. Note, engine shows oil pressure. Checked it this morning and still at the add. Started it and moved it shut it off let sit, pulled the dip stick, nothing on the stick. Checked 4 or 5 times, nothing. I am baffled!

I know this is a master of the obvious question, but are you sure you put 7 qts in?
I have shorted my equipment a time or two, especially when I used gallon jugs where I needed a partial gallon. I hate to say I changed my habits because I did this to buy whole gallons as needed and qts for the rest.
It is not necessary by the book but I put 7.5 qts in my 6.2 to get it to the top of the full line.

Found this info on another truck forum.. I quote:
Was your truck sitting on dead level ground?
And did you just fill your gas tank? The truck can lean to the drivers side a little with a full tank and with the dip stick being on the pass. side this will affect your reading..
Thats why they give you a range. If your between the marks plus you no you just put 7 in you are all right. Don't sweat it..
Over filling is always worse then running slightly low..
