I got the damper on! Everything was tough, I used some good sticky wheel bearing grease to keep the copper washer on first of all. Then I screwed on as tight as I could by hand, then used the punch to tap in on a little tighter. I cut the 1 1/16 wrench a couple of times and bent it with a torch a couple of times. I think it would be easier to just take the fuel pump off at the same time except I did not want to mess with the hoses. It is BONE DRY now!!!!! I still can not figure out what threads they are. Next time I go to the hydraulic store, I will bring it with me, but it may be a while.
It can not be pipe thread as it tightens up against the washer. It looks alot like the banjo threads. I have a genie boom that has weird threads on everything also, this hydraulic stuff drives me nuts! The weather here in northern ca is sooo good right now I am taking advantage of it and working outside as it won't last forever! I will take some pics as soon as I can.
OK, open 2 windows. one with your album and the other here on the reply (make sure you are on "go advanced").
Open the picture you want to post. At the bottom you will see "addresses" copy the top one. Now click the "insert image" button in the other window. a window will drop or pop up...now paste the address in there and see what happens. I will look for the results
I at least got a pic of the truck on the avatar. I have an ad in the classified but did not get a bite. I wanted to give the forum guys first crack at it. For what I am asking, it is not much more than the engine cost my wife! Thanks for the help.
