Are your fuel lines and sensors under the FPR (on the driver side) wet w/fuel?

The torque for the banjo bolt? I don't know...someone will know though. Not wringing the head off but not "wing nut" tight either. Clear as the new health care bill proposal? use the Force Luke....you will be fine

Agree with that. I think its very difficult to measure the torque there in the banjo bolt.

Believe it or not, I had a 1 1/4 12 point socket. I cranked on it as hard as I could, and it would not budge, at least 25 ft lbs. This has my curiosity up, it still has not leaked again after I ran it for 1/2 hour. I just would like to fix it before I sell it, but it has to cooperate a little more than this! Normally banjo fittings don't leak sometimes and then don't. I wish I had more time to look at it when my wife came home the other day as I could swear that it was coming from the saucer. I tried to take it off, but could not get a wrench on it, maybe a crows foot. Everything is so tough to get at, I want to be sure that I know what is leaking!

I have this in a write up in my book, maybe helps you, just be careful:

Then took a hammer and screw driver to the black Bosch dampner and tapped it loose (lefty loosey).

In another write up that I have saved I read this:

"For what its worth, Im now running no pulse dampener and it runs the same. Without the dampener it is much easier to get to the banjo bolt also"

I dont know if it will cause any damage in the fuel pump in long term or not and I dont know what he put in the hole for the dampener.

I tried a little to get at it, but as I get older, my patience and hands are limited. I will continue to see if I can at least locate the leak. I too think that the dampener is overkill, but not sure that is my source of fuel on the intake manifold.

I don't know the size...or if you can even get to it. You can tap it around/off by using a screwdriver/chisel and a hammer. Small sharp chisel and small light taps. I am glad you found it and it doesn't seem to difficult to fix.

I got it out finally. I used a punch to tap it loose. It is a 1 1/16 hex. I have lots of spare wrenches and made a right angle to fit right in there. I have no idea what thread it is, some ******* thread. I decided to put a new one on the truck rather than try to plug the hole. The new truck will be here in about 2 weeks. Is there anywhere on the forum that I could put all of the info and some of you could let me know what to ask when I sell it? It is a cream puff and I am not going to give it away.
