oil leak? coming from top of motor?

03 7.3l bad oil leak coming from in the valley on the top of the motor. found out it was not fuel it is oil. anybody know of any spots taht usually start to leak from the top of the motor? i tried to see where it was leaking from and can not see. it is all cleaned up with degreaser and still can not find a leak. too much stuff in the way. the biggest puddle is under the turbo.

Start at the HPOP, and the turbo,bet it is one or the other.

It's either your pedestal o-rings or the EBPV tube coming out of the pedistal. Look close under the turbo.

HPOP= high pressure oil pump.

If there is oil in the front of the valley it is probably not the turbo IMHO. I could not find mine either because it was a plug on the lower side of the HPOP. I could not see it leaking where it was, but once I pulled the HPOP is was obvious. My guess is if you cant see it leaking from the lines out of the HPOP and it is not the turbo then it is probably the non serviceable plug or the gasket on the pump.

I am with Marc on this.. Clean out the valley, locate some white rags, plce it under the turbo, and under the fuel bowl ( this is where the HPOP is ). Drive for an hour.. look for the drips..

He said he cleaned the valley and the only oil he can find in under the turbo.

Yeah, need more info. He could also check the orange boots under the spider.
