I have a 2010 Screw F150, short bed 2WD 4.6L/auto. Bought 12/16/2010
My question: I had the dealer install the 6 button deluxe remote start/security system. I notice now, that I have no exterior "approach" lighting. I see no mention made of the exterior lighting , other then the owner's manual saying that it does have entry/exit lighting. I cannot find anything on programming the exterior lights to come on when I disarm/unlock the truck. Am I misssing something??????
Anyone have a link to a list/instructions for all the features that can be programmed into my security system?
Thanks, Mike.

Page 141 of the owner's manual, 3rd printing:
Illuminated entry
The interior lamps and parking lamps illuminate when the remote entry
system is used to unlock the door(s) or sound the personal alarm, or
when the factory set 5-digit code or your personal code are correctly
entered into the keyless keypad.
The illuminated entry system will turn off the lights if:
•
the ignition switch is turned to the on position, or
•
the remote transmitter lock control is pressed, or
•
after 25 seconds of illumination.
The dome lamp control (if equipped) must not be set to the off position
for the illuminated entry system to operate.

Thanks Shotgunz. My exterior lighting worked as described in your reply, UNTIL the 6 button remote was installed. They now only work when truck is shut down, key removed.
Yes, I have spoken to the dealer. He is gonna recheck the wiring for the dome and exterior lighting. Other then this little problem; I am well satisfied with the remote start/security system.
Thx. again for your help. MV
The lights should work so they most likely they didn't properly tap into the dome light wire. There's nothing really to program regarding entry lights, only an option for the lights after exiting.
Do you have the My-Key issue as well that is the rmst shuts off when you open the door? If so, you can fix that too using this file (Option Bank 5, option 5 on page 8 of the file).

Thanks for the help , Steve. I did see you postings about the engine shut down when you opened the door. I was able to reprogram my system and it works great!
I am taking the truck in tomorrow, so the tech can check the dome light connections. Hopefully, they just overlooked a connection. I will let you know what they find!
OK-- my problem was fixed, by connecting a(optional) dome light wire. That is all the dealer would tell me.
My thanks to those who responded, especially to SteveVFX4, for the info on how to program the RMS to NOT shut down the engine, when the door(s) is opened.
The system is now working perfectly! Thanks, again, all!
glad they fixed it, hopefully they did not charge you. It's funny that some aftermarket alarm shops charge extra for dome light hookup when it's just one more wire they have to tap into.

Steve-- NO, they did not charge me for the dome wire hook up. Thanks, again, for your progamming help!
