I have a 2011 Ford F250 Lariat and when I open a door all the exterior lights come on except the headlights and will stay on for approx a minute after the door is closed. If I use the keyfob to lock the doors they will go out instantly.
If I lock the doors via door lock switch inside they will still stay on for the minute. I have the auto delay for the headlamps turned off and also searched throughout the owners manual and could not find anything for this issue. My 2008 Ford didn't do this but did run into another guy with a 2010 that also did
it. Any suggestions as to where I can get this deactivated
Thanks
If I understand correctly, you don't want any lights to come on? If so, there's a blackout "feature" (for LEOs) that a dealer may or may not hook you up with. It can only be activated by Fords IDS system from what I've read.
I'm the opposite. How do I get my headlights to turn on when I unlock this? All my other late model Fords have the heads turn on when unlocked using the Fob...but my 06 doesn't
