if its a 99 superduty with a 7.3 stroke, I'm not sure if they changed the bellhousing from the 88-97 e4od with diesel bellhousings, but technically the 99 will have a 4r100 not e4od, only specifics in defference I can remember off the top of my head is like a larger pan with a drain plug and they had a reusable gasket with a thin gauge metal inlay in it like on 6.0 stroke valve covers

well the reason i ask is where i work are plow truck is 99 they lost the tranny last week and are getting one from salvage yard if this will work in my 92 im sure there would be alot of upgrades do to it. If i could get it for what there core is or maybe there is not a core i would bring home and rebuild for spare. The man that pulled the tranny said it was e4od. i know 97 will work if you change solonoid pack just not sure about 99
