I hadnt heard about it before, but when i stripped out a Lexus SC400 for use in my COE i looked at the IFS and did some measuring and thought, WOW what a great and easy front suspesion to fit to a 48 to 56 (and later) truck.
Best suggestion i can make is go look at one, and then you will see for yourself how easy it could be........
I will also be fitting the IRS, engine and gearbox and anything else i can salvage from the donor SC400. John

Awesome! We have a late model junkyard here with half price days on Wednesday and Sundays. Looks like Sunday may be a roadtrip!
Ok, so after several months of researching, I finally came up with the perfect suspension FOR ME. I pulled the IFS from a 1982 Jaguar XJ6 at the local U-pull Sunday for $147. The car had only been in the yard for a month. It was a super clean, complete car. I have no idea why it made it to the yard, but everything seems to be in great condition. Even the rotors and calipers seem to be excellent. THe whole suspension unbolts with approximately 24 bolts, including rubber mounts and steering shaft! Time to get started on the swap!!
