HELP ME PLEASE! 2003 EXPLORER NOT STARTING
I am in need of some advice.
What I have:
2003 Explorer 4x4
4.0 sohc V6 (Not Flex Fuel)
What the problem is:
The starter is not turning AT All -not cranking/NOTHING when I cycle the ignition key - All lights are on and do not dim when i cycle the ignition - I do hear a THUMPING NOISE coming from my Driver Side Rear Qtr panel..
???? when i cycle the key forward to accessory.What I have done to this point:
Replaced BATTERY/STARTER/IGNITION RELAY/STARTER RELAY/CHECKED FUSES IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT(I DID FIND FUSE #41 BLOWN AND i REPLACED IT).

Since you mention the lights don't dim when you cycle the ignition (presumably to "Start") it sounds to me like the starter motor is not trying to engage. If it were and the engine were seized, the lights would dim significantly.
I'd suggest you try turning the key to run, put your foot on the brake, set the parking brake, then shift to Neutral and try to start the engine again. You might wiggle the shift lever around a bit while trying to start the engine too. If it now starts, the problem is likely the Transmission Range Sensor.
Even though you mention the lights work, I'd suggest you also check the battery voltage. Modern cars are very sensitive to strong charging systems. Depending on how long the factory battery lasted, you could be coming due for a second battery in a 2003.
