Door Ajar Light
My message center displays the door ajar message now for the past few weeks. I checked prior posts and it can be fixed by WD40 on all the door mechanisms. I tried this a couple of times including the two in the rear door with no success. Would my next step be to remove all the door panels and check the wiring, etc? That's quite a pain and I want to make sure theres not a fuse or something simple first. Thanks for any advice on this.

What year is your Explorer? Have you checked the rear liftgate?
It's also not uncommon for wires to break between the doors/liftgate and the body inside the rubber tubing. If you have access to a high end scan tool it will be able to tell you which door the GEM is determining to be ajar.

Thanks I have a new scan tool it's not a real expensive one but I'll try it tomorrow if it would tell me the one it would obviously save me alot of work. Thanks for the advice I'll let you know how I make out.
