Question stacks 5in 0r 6in

ok guys have asked befor, was thinking 4in but seen a truck and 4in stacks are out, can get a sweet deal on a set of 5 in or 6in turn outs, both sets are 5in pipe for hook up, so will be 3in stainless dp, in to 4in stright pipe in to 5in in the bed, not sure about stacks though?? 5 or 6?? had 5 in miters and sold them, like the turn outs just not syre if 6 is to big???

you dont think 6 is to big on a short bed and all the 5 in i had was big, just asking, will the sound be much diffrent??

Either one will look good. I would just get the bigger one. If you go too small you will get mad, If you go too big, I doubt you will be mad. That's how i look at it.

this is one of those questions that can only be answered by what you like. 4in is way to small tho. look in my garage both trucks have 5in on them to give you an idea.

I run 6" mitres when I don't have my topper on and like the size. 4 too small. 5 getting there. 6 inch just right. But my truck is a long box.

ok did the water get in you miters bad???
i can get a 5 in stack kit with 5in miter stacks for 200 bucks can get same kit with 6 in turn outs for 450

5" have a higher pitch and can be ear peircing, 6" are awesome, love my aussies

yeah going to get both sets, one for me and one for buddy, got a guy had them in his shop, witht the economy the way it is he is shuting the doors.both kits are 5in in bed and hooks 2to 4in, stacks are 5 in miters and 6 in turn outs both kits are dull stacks

yeah like them as well, i thought if i get the 5 in miters for me, can always put aussies on later, cheapest 5 in dull kit i seen was 350, can make it, but working on wheel to wheel step bars and trac bars, so would like to bolt and go

I am running 6"mitres that I made out pretty heavy walled SS, they have a nice sound thats not to loud compared to 5", There are a few diesels in town that are running 4s and 5s and the are really loud compared to my dual 6". I also don't think 6" is to big for a short box and I have never had any issues with water in my stacks and never put buckets or covers over them.

LOL!! Nahh Everyone wants me to go atleast 6". But i can get a great deal on that 5" set. I already have a single 6" aussie, But its black. So i thought about getting another bare metal aussie and having them both powdercoated Black Chrome. Dunno what to do lol.
