Back-up sensor problem

My back-up sensor is coming on all the time when I go into reverse. It does shut off when I press the OFF button.

Not sure where to start trouble shooting but thought best to get any feedback from anyone that has experienced it and the fix. I guess it is either a bad module or a sensor.

This happens to me all the time, I just turn it off while I'm backing up and it has always fixed itself after I turn my truck off and leave it for a little while

Clean it really good, as mine did the same thing. It didnt look like they were dirty but they were, also check the angle its pointing at, cuz if something hit it, then it could be pointing at the ground. Then if its still doing it, unplug each sensor, one at a time and find the one causing the problem. Either replace it or leave it unplugged.

Thanks guys. I gave them a wipe but perhaps some soap and water would be better. If that doesn't help I'll try unplugging one at a time.

I do find them usefull so I do have to get them fixed.

Clean the outsides, check for correct alignment, then unplug each one and check for corrosion. Clean as needed and add either dielectric grease or Fluid Film to the connection.
