Talking Back-Up Sensor while backing trailer

I have an '02 Limited V10 4x4 (love it!) with the back-up sensor. It works great and all, except when backing up with a trailer attached. Since the trailer is close enough to set off the sensor, it beeps constantly when the X is in reverse. Does anyone know of a way to shut off the back up sensor when its not needed?
Thanks!

I have a 01 X and there is a pushbutton switch to the right of the gear selector handle, next to the rear window defogger and I believe the 4X4 selector **** is there as well. Everytime you shift into reverse, you need to depress the button, it automatically resets everytime the vehicle is taken out of reverse. hope this helps

This is true and is a pain in the a$$. I wish it could be set to stay off until the ignition is cycled off something.
