map sensor relocation for intercooler?

What is the process to relocate the map sensor when an intercooler is installed?

I know it needs to be moved to the hot side but How do you mount it if youre not using the 99+ spyder?
I modified the original y-pipe

I'd just drill and tap a fitting in the hot side of your modded ypipe.

Why do you put it on the "hot side"? The instructions from Banks has it on the "cold side". I would think that the engineers at Banks have done some research of where it works best. Just wondering the reason for relocating it.

Thats a good question, but dont believe all you read, Banks also say that the EGT probe should be intalled in the down pipe and its a way BETTER in the exhaust manifold.

One reason I have read is that in the hot side you have less turbo lag.

You would think that Fale Banks and his engineers knew something guessing from the amount of money they charge for their inferior products but on these trucks Fale Banks is an idiot!

Putting the Map sensor line on the hot after installing an intercooler lets the PCM "see" the boost faster therefore it fuels harder and faster. If you have an intercooler swap it once and you will see what we are talking about. It is a noticeable difference and if you have the Banks Set up its easy as putting a thread barb fitting in the turbo outlet and running your hose.

Thats what I was told as well. I have a lot more turbolag than prior to the IC install and I hope to get rid of some of that by relocating the sensor

Yes it will decrease turbo lag as well.
