Protective Battery Sleeve

My 2008 F250 had the "Check Brake System" light on upon starting. I read the thead that 1 or both batteries might be end of life. I had them load tested, 1 was marginal, 1 was very weak.

I got 2 new batteries, and when installing them, I noticed only 1...the passanger side...had a type of "protective sleeve" around the battery. My assumption is that it protects the battery from heat. Note the battery that did not have the proctective sleeve was the weaker one.

Question: Are both batteries supposed to have this protective sleeve? The part # is 8C3T-10A687-AA & C500L (both on the tag). I have done several searches on that part...and nothing comes up.

Help.

Quesiton remains: Anybody know where to get a 2nd sleeve - wrap - blanket? Correct part number??

No mine and several others only have the sleeve on the passenger side.
