Airbag code 42 front sensor location 2005 Aviator

Airbag code 42 front sensor location 2005 Aviator
So I found out code 42 on the airbag code is front sensor # 2. Anyone know the location of this sensor and how to get at it? Do I need to disconnect the battery before unplugging the sensor? I want to try cleaning off the connections, and will see if that will do the trick. Thanks

It is always recommended to disconnect the battery before servicing any part of the SRS. Check the connector, the mounting surface of the sensor for rust and the sensor itself for being loose on it's mounting bracket.

Thank you, I will start looking. Had the front cowel off and couldn't find it. I will now try again. Another issue. Do you know why my mirrors don't tilt when I go in reverse? The backup sensors don't work either. Are these two things tied together?
