For those that have done a 4.6 swap or know someone who has, is torque a problem. Im considering doing a marauder swap and am concerned I may not have enoug torque to be a good daily. I will not tow with it and it will be setup damn near the same way as the Fat Man fab shop truck. I know the marauder 4.6 came with the Aviator truck cam so that should help. Any advice or opinions would be great.
I think that you should go out and drive a Marauder and see if it lives up to your expectations. I suspect that it'll be more than sufficient as a "good daily".
The one thing that I would consider would be gears to get the motor up and reving to make it do the work.
Also I would want it to turn around 2500rpm at 75 so if I do load it up it won't hunt for gears. Plus these smaller motors like the 4.6 and GM's 4.8 like to rev a bit going down the road.
What do you have in the truck now? What are you looking for in a daily driver? Considering you will not be loading it down heavy and just cruising, you should have no problem with it.

I don't have anything in the truck now. I am doing a frame off. Got a Mustang 2 and a four link from Fatman. Body is getting done right now while I do all the fab work. I appreciate all the info guys anwill be posting pics. I pulled the trigger and bought the whole Marauder swap.
That's why I said go drive a Marauder. They drive great and are nice and heavy. The DOHC 4.6 is a sporty motor with good grunt. Maybe wouldn't want to pull a 10k lbs trailer with one, but will make a sporty half ton.
