We were all set to order one of those but all the reviews complained about a smell coming off the fabric. Have you noticed that with yours? Also, is there a way to run a seat belt harness through it? 100 lbs. of Elkhound coming at me in an accident doesn't sound like fun.
Yep I miss that too. The seats don't lay flat when folding down so the dogs can lay on it without destroying the seat backs. I have been thinking of building my own platform to place it the truck.

If it smelled, my wife would be the first to complain.
Ours is from Duluth Trading.
There are "handles" which go through the back/bottom of
the seat and "hold" it in - but not attached to anything.
I'm not sure I see the same model available any more.
They are like $60, so it's no bad if you get 1 or 2 years out of it?
Just ordered a 2012 and one of the first things i looked for what the flat load floor. to my frustration, no longer available on the Lariat. (or any but im not sure).
This feature is HUGE for me as its whats configured mostly. Not only do I set most of my daily gear back there, but also I strap my dogs kennel back there and thats where he rides. Very secure for him even if an accident were to occur.
Also having the flat load floor is almost like having another pick up bed.
Before I trade in my 08 im taking the floor out for the new truck
I've had the load floor in my truck for about a year now. I use it that way 95% of the time. I can't imagine being happy with the truck any other way. I rarely use the back seats.

My dad and I both pulled the floor trays out of our 2006 trucks because we wanted to be able to put stuff under the back seats. I have them both if anyone in the central Texas area is interested.
