I just bought a 1979 Bronco and the previous owner put a set of racing seats in the front (mounted poorly) and i want to get my hands on a OE front bench seat but im having a hard time finding one. Does anyone know where i might find an inexpensive bench seat for this year of bronco? thanks!
Any 73 to 79 ford truck should fit. I dont think they ever put a bench in the bronco because you couldnt get into the back seat with it, but the floorboard is the same as the trucks, just pull the bench out of a truck
Ford did put bench seats in Broncos, I have seen a few of them. There was one in the U pull it yard in Redmond Or about a month back. Was over there last week end and it was gone. But look around in your local wrecking yeards, you may find one.
Base line Broncos came with the bench seat. Not sure about the older models but the 89+ model years had the tapped holes in the floor for both the buckets and the bench seat mounts. The holes that weren't used, were plugged with plastic caps.
Sorry i didnt come back and post to this sooner but i solved my bench seat problem by going to a you pull it place and i took a split-back bench seat out of a 70-something super cab pick up. Just drilled new holes and installed. Sits nice and i couldnt be happier
