Just purchased a 92 bronco -- all set up for wheeling-- has bucket seats, but no jump seat. I have seen a bench seat will be a pain in the rear... so am wanting to put a jump seat in the middle of the front. Any ideas as to what years/ other model will fit?
You'd could fit a bench seat up front, not sure if thats what you meant. But I don't think you could "legally" have a jump seat in the middle as it'd prolly have no belt provisions.
you can get a center jump seat from any F150,F250,F350 that came with the 40,20,40 split.
Just pull out your center console and remove both front seats. be sure to grab the seat belts from the same rig or piece some together from a bench seat rig. I have this exact setup in my bronco. makes it real nice
second above, a toolbox and a junkyard and your in business. i was thinking about swapping out my factory seats for something cooler, i was just going to pull the center console, rotate it 180 degrees and mount it closer to the dash, that way there would be acess thu the middle to the back seat. the only people that sit in my back seat are usually my kids so it should be plenty for them
oh i forgot to mention that you will need to pull your arm rests off your current bronco bucket seats. so if the truck you pull the jump seat from has both driver/passenger seats in great condition and you can get them for a good price you might grab them also and just swap the whole set into your bronco. I eventually installed some Mustang gt seats that i am very happy with although they are more of a black/grey vs the blue interior i have.

did the mustang seats fit in good with the bronco brackets or did you use the mustang brackets?
What's a pain about a bench seat? My '84 has a bench seat and it isn't much more difficult than my bucket seats to get in the back. A little, but not a showstopper.
so you just installed the center jump seat right? or did you swap out all the front seats? couldnt really tell in the pics
I only installed the jumper seat, I got it off of ebay.
It is hard to locate used parts here, the recycle yards are small and they
Move their inventory fast - think available land space - anyway, it was worth the cost of the item and related shipping.
I was planning to use a bench seat from a same era single cab F150, but those seats don't recline, but the will offer enough space to enter the rear seat.
I chose the jump seat as a personal choice.
The jumper seat I bought did come with a seat belt. I was able to use the stock belt mounting points.
I Also used grade 8 bolts for the seat installation.
Although the seat materials don't match, we are going to install Wet Okole covers after I remove the carpet and install new vinyl flooring.
