Windshield wipers

I have a 2010 F250 and I need to replace the wiper blades. Should I go with the OEM or are their any aftermarket brands that are better. Thanks

I have had decent luck with the Fomoco's, but I love the Bosch Excel blades. They are probably the best blade I have ever used. I think the new ones are Excel II's, and they even have one step up from that if you want to spend the $.

Thumbs up

A little bit out of topic, but what size do they use?
I change the wipers in my 00' F450 and I updated to 24' (OEM size are 20) and I love it!

I put 24" Bosch Icon's on about 3 years ago. I live in a pretty harsh environment, hotter 'n hell in the summer and welldigger cold, snow and ice in the winter, and they've held up well. I'm about to replace the drivers side because the rubber is getting a little stiff.

I am currently using 26" wipers and they function well. Now i can see when it rains! Whoever specified 20" blades for these trucks should be fired.

I get the cheapest ones at walmart. They seem to do just as well and may even last longer than the expensive ones.

24inch Rainx Latitudes work very well in new england winters, rain x also makes a wiper that applies rain repellent to the windshield as they wipe across the windshield

It is not the brand name alone (though the Ford ones are good).

It is who makes it, to what specs, etc.

I had real good luck with silicon blades coated with teflon marketed under the silblade name.

It is pricey, but it has a 5 year replacement warranty.
