Started the year with yet another 15-30 seconds of waving the video camera around and trying to find and video the B2 as it flys over Colorado Blvd. Got some decent vid this year--other years have been better. But I was at serious risk on top of my house with a full-size VHS camera a few years ago--it looks like a shoulder-fired weapon. I don't need an airstrike or swat team to welcome the New Year!

Had a good first dinner for 2011, just cooked and ate Fillet with a garlic/red wine reduction sauce, steamed cauliflower and baked potatoes. Came out prettyy good for only my second time trying fillet with the wine sauce.

Since I have seen food on here wrapped in bacon I'll add another one. Diners Drive inn and dives had an episode about a restaurant in Kansas City MO called The Brick. they have what they call a Oklahoma Dog, it is a hot dog wrapped in bacon the deep fried in beer batter and served on a bun with mustard.

The Oklahoma
Blvd beer battered deep fried hot dog wrapped in bacon served with onion and mustard Not for the faint of heart !!

weird... it's actually snowing in Santa Clarita - have to get a pic posted here in a bit. (oddly enough - this might be the first time my truck has actually seen snow... first time for the puppy too... apparently he's not all that thrilled with the 'cold and wet' aspect. Truck didn't seem to mind a bit though.) :-)
