I have a 95 F350 crew cab dually with a 7.3 Turbo and an E4OD tranny.
Was driving today and the tranny did something wierd. When I pulled up to a stop light and came to a stop the tranny never released when I stopped. The enging bogged down and died. Then the OD light on the shifter started flashing. I put it in park, restarted the truck, dropped it in drive and it lunged forward as if the torque converter was fully engaged or something. Pulled up to another light. Bogged down but didn't die just was pulling really hard and the engine sounded like it was powering up.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Bobb
sounds like a torque convertor not working properly. I have heard of trying tranny additives like soft shifts sometimes helps. I would suggest calling a rebuilder to verify problem is convertor or internal tranny.
