ok guys. having an issue arise,
from a stop light if i use to punch it the truck would get up and screech the tires and go. as in not gutless.
now if i normaly start from a light its gutless. punch it from a go itll move but not as quik, and also around 3rd gear (auto tranny) e4od) if im light on the gas it will gain speed as it should. but anything over 50% and it dogs. you can feel it bog down and pick up and bog and pick up etc until it gets high enough in the rpm's. then its good and strong. i dont have a tach so i cant tell what rpms it starts but lets say 1800-2500 to 3k
also on ramps are kicking my trucks a$$. it takes alot more then i feel it should to get up to highway speed.
i understand its a heavy truck. i know something is goin on thats not quite right. any help?
im replacing the fuel filter today. check sig for truck. new plugs wires rotor clean air filter im at a loss.

I think I would do as you plan and replace the fuel filter and then maybe check the fuel pressure. Maybe also check for a restricted exhaust (plugged cat).
If everything else checks out then it could be a bad torque converter.

well redid the fuel filter and my hands still stained from the grime that poured out. it fixed it. i cut the filter in half just to see and it was desroyed. falling apart and black inside and out of the filter element. it was bad.
so trucks back to its same self. thanks lazy!
