Starter or Alternator Problem?
I was driving my other car for a bit and my 96 Bronco sat for over a week. I havent had any problems prior to parking it. I went to start it and it made a clicking sound and then wouldn't turn over. The battery gauge seems to be more towards the the left rather the middle where it normally is. Is there a way to find out which one it is? Also, I heard of maybe hitting the alternator to get it going? Any information would help.

Your battery is low, put it on a charger for awhile. Also make sure all your cables are are clean and tight. And NEVER hit anything you don't want to replace. Whomever told you to hit the alt is a moron.

^ times 2. Alternator has NOTHING to due with a truck starting. Most likely loose or corroded cable.

I'd offer another opinion but it would just begin to sound like a broken record... if anyone recalls what those are.
