WHERE DO I START???? I CHANGED THE OIL, REPLACED AIR FILTER PCV VALVE AND BREATHER FILTER PUT IN NEW PLUGS AND WIRES, RXP FUEL TREATMENT FOR EMISSIONS. WILL THIS MAYBE DO IT OR DO I NEED TO GET A DIAGNOSIS FOR THE EGR.
Check your timing and make sure it is not advanced. NOx is usually a result of high temps. An advanced timing increases cylinder temps dramatically. According to a car specialist in our area most HC's are from having dirty oil, so go in with fresh oil.
When I brought my 1990 Bronco (351W) in for emmissions it also failed. What I did was give it a full tune up: spark plugs, spark plug wires, adjust timing, oil, air filter, also it turned out one of my vaccum hoses was broken. I found this out by going to pep-boys and having it put on a diagnostic machine. Only 20 bucks!
