Gear swap directions

Anyone know of a source for directions to swap out and set up the gears on a 10.5? Thanks!

It takes specialized tools to do it correctly and easily. For the most part it is a remove and replace, after that you would have to tinker to get the backlash and preload right. The carrier portion of the install will be identical to any dana or corperate axle.

Randys ring & pinion, do a search it will come up.
I think you'll find if you have to ask you maybe better off finding
someone with the correct tools and exp.

Thanks, I have experiance with other axles but if there are special tools for the 10.5 I may have to farm it out.

Normally I would say take it to a pro, but if you already have experience with gears and have, or can get a hold of, the usual tools needed to do a gear job, dial caliper, case spreader, Vernier caliper, shims, pattern grease, etc. Then go to the below link, get a 72hr subscription for about $10 to a service manual and download the specs and instructions you need.
