EOT/ ECT Large Differential
I read in one of the other threads,, that "properly maintained these engines will go a million miles", after this investment in parts I sure hope so. Thanks for all the good advice.

EGR Cooler is only two months old,
Test Drive, 192/ 194 -196 ECT/ EOT
Test Drive pulling the 11K trailer at 70-72 mph, highest ECT was 211. EOT was 220.
I think that will work for me.

Designed life of 6.0 when properly maintained:
B50 life is 350,000 to 375,000 miles, depending on who you talk to.
The VT-365 comes with a limited engine warranty of 5 years, 150,000 miles. In reference to life, this engine has a B50 life of 375,000 miles in medium truck applications. This far exceeds the typical engine requirements of the RV application.
B50 Life: This means that 50% of the engines at this mileage will require a major overhaul.
That is comparable to the Cummins 5.9:
How I arrived at 1 million miles.
B50 life of say, 350,000 miles in medium duty use.
That is roughly 6,000 to 7,000 hours.
In light duty use, this can easily double.
That gets you 700,000 miles or 12,000 hours or thereabouts
That is 500 days, or roughly 1.3 years running around the clock.
Which just happens to be the normal overhaul interval of a marine diesel --- about 1 or so year of continuous running.
To go from 700,000 to 1,000,000 miles require a moderate improvement over the average.
That means synthetic oil, a rigorous maintenance schedule, and generally, catching problems as early as possible.
Where I am now: 275,000 miles.
I think I can confidently see this motor to 500,000 miles.
1 million? Probably the next owner.
