What spark plugs is everyone running on?? I was thinking of switching over to the E3 spark plugs just to test them out ,there about 5.50 a plug what do u guys think????
Stay as far away from E3 plugs as you can. I had a 04 Silverado. It was time to change plugs. I got a set of E3's for a couple dollars more than the AC Delcos. Man, that truck ran great. Smooth throttle and I saw 23.2 mpg out of my 5.3 with 90k on it while on the way to Tampa FL. I was happy untill about the 4k mile mark on the plugs. Truck would miss and drive like crap. Pulled the plugs and they looked like they had been in there for 190k. I read up on them and I my story was not unique. I put the old ac's back in and it ran like a top. I bought new ac's before I sold it and it ran just as good as the old ones.
Like to thank everyone for their reply's on the oil usage. Hate to say it but I have not replaced my PCV yet because I can't get it out. It won't even rotate in the valve cover. I really don't want to remove the valve cover just to get it out. Any suggestion on removing it. Hoping everyone a Happy New Year.
