I have a question. I intend to keep my 52 original. I see a lot of pictures of these trucks with the amber parking light lense. Did they have amber back in those days? Nice grill. Mine has the bullets chrome and the rest painted when I bought it. I wonder if that was original. My neighbor said he does not remember seeing that combination before.
Thanks EVERY body glad ya like it. I was thinking about putting a arrowhead some were. pinstriping [GOOD IDEA] Was going to talk to some local airbrush people and see what it would cost to have something done.
I like that you've painted the deflectors behind the headlights black instead of yellow. So many people do theirs in body color, and (imho) it detracts more than enhances. When they're black, they disappear with the radiator and your grille is what you see, front and center, just like it was intended. Paint them body color and that's all you see, your eyes are drawn past the grille to those panels. They stick out like a sore thumb. Nice job.
Well ilya if they don't make a new 51 than i guess i will have to run a 50 on it. I have a painted one but was going to send it to canadian diesel. Hate to back out of a deal. No one around here will know the diff.
Yes, but you have a 48-50 truck so the bumper matches. Nothing against Dale and his choice, but that's just one of my pet-peeves.
I see a lot of restored 51-52 trucks with 48-50 bumpers. In my opinion, if I spent all that money restoring or building a 51-52, I'd at least try to use the correct bumpers. However, to each his own and that why this land is called America. TEE HEE.
Hey the arrowhead pinstripe job would look like the "V" in the V8 emblem!
hmmm...you might be able to pull in something really cool there! put the 8 in there? know what i am saying? Yeah nice grill!
