Wow !! Looks great. I have a 51 and was thinking about having the grill chromed. I was told you have to grind off the spot welds where the grill meets the headlight bucket. Was that the case with you ? If so, how did you put it back together so it's in the right position? AND how much did it cost ya?
I took it apart to have it chromed then used bolts to put it back. Worked out fine. You should remove all the bolt clips before chroming and replace with new for installing it.
Very sharp looking. Nice sunset too. We are expecting several inches of snow tonight and tomorrow...
By the way, I've noticed a lot more yellow on new and old vehicles. What's up with that? At first I really didn't like it, but I think it's starting to grow on me. Of course these old trucks can just about any color and I would love them.

Electroplating tends to jump over inside corners, that's why you need to remove the headlight pods from the center bar. The metals just won't go into those tight corner areas, so if you don't take it apart, those areas will be discolored and look like crap.
If you drill through the spot welds, you can put it back together with small bolts or machine screws. The holes will line up perectly with themselves upon reassembly, just like when you took it apart. It's really pretty easy.
I just can,t wait to get to the stage your at. Been working on my for four or five years. Your's is at the stage a lot of us are dreaming about. I can only say one thing man that looks nice.
That is one gorgeous looking truck Dale. Albuq F-1's suggestion about an arrowhead in the pinstripping sounds like a good idea too. When is your planned completion date. Looks like you'll be driving it in no time. Be sure to post a video.
