In my 51 I will be using leather seats out of a 99 blazer/tahoe. They will fit nicely. You can use the original bench or others have been successful with more modern bench seats.
This is a link from a post in the "sticky" thread on the first page of the 48-60 forum. It was originally posted by, I think, Fomoko1.Scroll about half way down to find info on suitable seats for 53-56 trucks.
Bench seat from a 88-98 chev pickup almost a direct bolt in. I have one I'll be using when I do my Pickup.
Would like to see pictures of your big window pickup. And welcome to the site.
After my ordeals with two new mustang tanks, I hope or recommend that you sealed the tank because any condensation will cause fuel issues. Good luck and sounds like you are knocking it out. By the way, I was still riding the Big Wheel in 1983, LoL.
Welcome to the site. It's a good thing to move the gas tank as you are if not just for the extra room in the cab to move the seat back more comfortably. But I am just a big talker, as mine is still behind the seat.
