Just watched Truck-U and they were promting Z-Max for the oil in diesel trucks. Anyone use this product before?? I live in Kansas City and our weather changes day to day but we're in winter time now. Just I've read different threads on mpgs people are getting and makes me wonder if somethings wrong wit truck. I'm getting 11-12 mpgs wit maybe 13 on highway. Far as I know only thing I got on truck is magnaflow exhaust.
annnnnnnd how could he tell it was clean, and how did that help. unless he had some abnormal and very unusual oil contamination, regular oil changes keep the system plenty clean enough. all most additives do is clean out your wallet

Yep it helped with stiction for me. Soothed out the idle. I think it isn't so much for the oil as it is for the metal surfaces. It adheres to the metal pores better than oil and creates a better surface for the oil and metal. I'm no scientist but I noticed an improvement. I use Motorcraft 10w30 year round. I'm in Canada and temps can get very cold. Next winter I'm gonna try synthetic just to try it out.
