77rear Bumper

When I biught my 77 Short bed step side the rear bumper and bracket's were off. My question is do the bracket's curve up or down? I've tried both, neither look correct. I was told that they were the original part's.

The OEM manuals are great for this situation. They have nice assy drawings

You can get a set on CDROM from the Online Store, it's the best investment you can make in your truck.

77rear Bumper

I just got a bumper for my stepside. The bumper came off a 1980 Bronco. I used the bronco brackets too. 2 of the 3 original holes on the brackets lined up, which caused the brackets to point down. I was only able to get 1 bracket hole on each side to line up with the bumper, but I tightend them real good, and then welded the bracket to the bumper. The bumper was a little to wide, so I hacked off the ends, shortened it to the width of the bed, and then welded the endcaps back on. It looks real good, I will get some pics of it in my gallery this weekend.
