Shifting from reverse to drive problem
I have a 92 Explorer EB 4x4. My husband replaced the transmission fluid and filter several months ago. I now have a problem when I back up and shift into drive on an incline, it acts like it's in neutral. I apply the gas and the engine revs but it goes no where. It seems to only happen if I am trying to shift into drive when I'm on a hill. If I step on the gas pedal really hard it will finally kick into gear. Once or twice I have already been in drive and stop at a light, when I take off again it will act like it's in neutral until I've given it lots of gas then it finally kicks into gear. Any ideas on what this problem might be?
