after getting the insight going, I found that my temps were in good order.
ect was 180,+/- 3, eot was anyware from + 4 to +9 of the ect. Trans. temp ran around 150. was feeling good about going 460 mi. on 25 gal. of fuel too, this was all at going 70mph on the turnpike. I have just over 5k miles left before my warranty runs out, what all do you think.

Your thermostat is stuck open, your temps should be 190 to 192. You have a 195 thermostat, so if you are only at 180ish its not getting hot enogh to open, so must allready be open. JMO
Couldn't it be a lower temp thermostat as well? I have an early '04 that warms up, coolant hotter than oil, until the coolant reaches 180, which seems to be the baseline. I don't think the thermostat is open until then, but coolant temps range from 180 on up, depending on operation, with the oil temps anywhere from 3-10 degrees over. I have not changed the thermostat in it since getting it in March, but I am going to next chance I get to pick one up.
I dont think it would get cooler after it warmed up, when i got my scangauge mine ect was around 180 or so. put in thermo hits 193 opens then stays at 191, while your in there good time to do fuel spring upgrade.
what happens is thermostat springs weaken over time, instead of opening at 195 they'll progressively start opening at a cooler temp.
I had the very same thing happen to me last winter, on a -15f evening ect wouldn't even reach 150f, and I use a winter front. Changed the thermostat and temps never go below 191f.
they're around a $20 part and easily changed by yourself.
Did do the fuel pressure spring upgrade. 63-68 under all conditions now. Didn't have a gauge installed before I replaced the spring.
"Opening lower" rather than "stuck open" makes a lot of sense. I actually had the thermostat out this summer while doing a flush/oil cooler replacement/coolant filter install. Didn't think to change the t-stat out at the time.
tranny temp at 150* is too low as well, it should be around 195* or higher like the ECT , not that it matters much but what was the outside temp when you road tested the truck?

I have never seen over 150* on TFT except in the dead of summer towing. In the winter TFT gauge barley moves.
I was on a trip to Iowa the temps were from the teems to the mid 20's. whene i was seeing these readings. looks like i will be putting in a new thremo. this week with the new blue fuel spring. thanks for the input,
