I have an update. I could only get my remote start to work every once in awhile ever since I installed it. There was no feedback or beep either. So today I was bored and decided to tackle the problem..... 10 minutes later..... it was the battery in the transmitter! Apparently the battery in the transmitter was weak when I recieved the box. Now I can start my truck anywhere in the house and get feedback with beep!
So guys that are having problems with this, try and change your battery even if you just got the system. My Sunday has just gotten way better.
OMFG dude.....That fixed mine too.... Seems nice to get the feedback on the fob like your're supposed to. I really appreciate your post because I never would have thought of changing the battery.
Feedback from the Key??? Just the remote that comes with the factory? I have remote start and have NEVER heard a beep or anything from my Key. I even went and grabbed the other one out of the safe and no sounds emitted. I locked, unlocked and remote started. No sounds
Must be a different system,,,,No red light on my remote.
Oh well.

Yes, there is an add-on key fob that will extend the range of the remote system. It is in addition to the remote start you get from the factory. I have the factory remote start but I haven't put in the additional system (Ford also, check early on in this thread and you will find a link to the system from partsguyed.com - its a Ford made system, just an after-market if you need more range). Also, since you have remote start also there should be no programming needed by the dealer. If you are installing this system because you have NO remote start from the factory then you need to have a reflash to accept the operation of the remote start.
I am probably going to order this system too. My remote start doesn't work hardly at all - through walls in the house and the office. I have to be about 100 yards from the truck, in sight, to get it to work. If I am inside forget it... That doesn't do me much good.
I noticed on my truck that I had to use the lock button on the Fob before it would remote start, I don't have the extended range version.

On the extended range fob, the remote will lock your doors with 2 pushes of the remote start button. The remote is bidirectional which means it sends a signal back to the fob and it will beep and flash indicating successful transmission.
