The other day I went to a shop and got on the Dyno, it seemed to be running weak though. While on the Dyno she was blowing a ton of black smoke, but I just figured it was because I don't get on her that often. The truck did bump 4000 RPM's a couple times, and the shop owner mentioned that it sounded like it would start cutting out around 3000 RPM.
Since that day the truck still runs smooth, but does seem to be lacking the power it once had.
Today I was pulling out of a gas station onto the highway through a really bad intersection. In order to get out during buisiness hours you basicly have to stick her to the floor across four lanes of traffic and hit 65 MPH in a hurry or risk being rear ended.
So anyway I floored it and noticed that the truck stumbled around 2800 RPM and it seemed like it was cutting out, until it shifted and the RPM's dropped back down. So I hit 70, pushed cruise control and looked in my rear view mirror and I was smoking out two lanes of traffic with a thick black smoke. I figured it would clear up but after about a mile the smoke was still as thick and black as ever. I feathered the pedal and it didn't clear up so I bumped the pedal quick and let off and it cleared up.
I am thinking it is a fuel injector issue and hoping it's not internals from the abuse the other day. Does it sound like injectors to you guys?
The boost hit 29PSI, which is actually a record high for me. I have never seen it above 26PSI

Is the IPR valve the one on the HPOP cover under the turbo and has a heat shielding wrap on it? I'll try replacing it.

I changed air filter about 15,000 miles ago and bounced it out about 1,000 miles ago, I do live on a dirt road so it fills up quicker than normal. The air filter guage thingimabobber (thats a technical term) reads fine. And no codes.

Checked and tightened the CAC boots two nights ago, I had two leaks one where the Hot tube meets the turbo and I had blown the gasket out of the aftermarket intake elbow, so I replaced it with the stock one.
Rechecked tonight and all is good.
