Have to ask an obvious question here - did you get the LED to work at all? Do you have the polarity reversed? - an LED will only work one way. Probably need to put a multimeter on the GPR to see exactly what is happening.

Where do you have the power lead from the LED going?

I grounded my LED in the dash area, near the LED. Then I ran a single wire (Orange one) to the GPR for the 12V Power. I hooked this lead to the post going to the GP's. If you are getting power off of that post it should work. Did you verify the LED works?

Do you have the polarity reversed? -

mark i thought all leds were polarity sensetive but this light (dorman 84926) said just one wire to ground and one to assy and no marks on light about this side is pos and other is neg. so i just hooked it up . so i just pulled light out of the truck and used a jump box to to light first way no light thought mabey bad light hooked other way and it worked took back to truck hooked up other way and wa la she worked . so at least im not second guessing my electric skills . and i was thinking im reading ground thru the glow plugs . sometime i feel like a idiot but at least i get it eventully . thanks for all replies guys wes

Glad you figured it out. The LED's that I found at Radio Shack has a red and a black wire coming from them so it's easy to figure out. And I need all the help I can get.

Glad you got it Wes. Good thing about an LED is you won't burn it up if it's backwards, it just won't work.
